It was close to many things that we wanted to do on the island. The valets were very helpful in giving accurate directions. It also was very clean!
Confortable, spacious, clean, good localization. Forget the name Waikiki Marina Resort, you -or the taxi driver- won`t find it. The hotel name actually is the ilikai. And the registration deck is in second floor. A very good deal.
Hard to find if you are looking for Waikiki Marina Resort. Everybody knows The Ilikai (Same place).
The location & friendliness of most staff made the stay more enjoyable. The rooms are clean & spacious with all that most people would need.
Is this the Ilikai Hotel or Waikiki Marina Resort? Not knowing this from the website & reservation confirmation led to frustration trying to locate the Hotel upon arriving in Honolulu. (FYI -- The location to tell the cab or shuttle driver is the Ililkai Hotel.) Plus, improving small services like printing & accommodating guests who need printing made easier would improve the overall value tremendously. 10 AM checkout, while becoming more standard among many hotels, is a bit too early for many guests, as it does not allow a leisurely final morning ...
Excellent service provided by all staff in particular Rollie. When we first arrived we were not given the room with the specifications we had requested on emails sent prior to our arrival. The next morning Rollie went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our room, they even transfferred our luggage and food from one fridge to another into a very nice suite where we were able to watch the fireworkds from the Hyatt and had a partial view of the ocean. The room was very clean and got extra towels without having to ask for them.
They always seemed to run out of towels at the pool, however some customers would take up to 2 or 3 towels each so perhaps that had a lot to do with this.
The resort staff were very efficient and helpful, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is at the start of Waikiki, easy walk to the Ali Moana mall.
The location and view, close to beach front, cafes, shopping centre. The size and comfort of room, with plenty available in kitchen to cook with when staying in. Lots of towels also available too, which was great! :)
Every aspect of this accommodation was excellent
Reasonable priced hotel in pricey Waikiki area. Appreciated the ability to use full kitchen in room if we didn't want to go out to eat at the higher than usual cost restaurants. Walking distance to many shops and beach. Easy to take bus also.
Actual name of hotel on the outside is the Ilikai. Can be confusing if you are unaware of staying in a timeshare area of the hotel. Check-in is in room 212 on 2nd floor.
The hotel had a great location, nearby the beach, good places to eat Breakfast, also short walkingdistance to Ala Moana shoppingcenter. The room was big and had lovely beds to sleep in.The kitchen had everything,so we didnt had to buy any equipment. We stayed there 4 11nights and would stay there again.
I was glad I`ve read through some of the rewiews be4 comming to the Hotel;someone mention that we schould tell the taxidriver to stop at Ilikai hotel, since Waikiki Marina Resort is located inside this hotel. W.M.r have their Reception in the second floor!!
Close to beach, great view from hotel room, friendly staff
Some elevators not working and very slow.
It is much much quieter than the other end of Waikiki but within easy reach of the busier streets or beaches. Or other good hotels to eat at . Plenty of optionsions and if one needs to shop then it is 5 minute walk to Alomoana. Our room was clean and attractive with a good partial view of the lagoon and ocean as promised. Kitchen and eqipment if tired of eating out .
Only criticism I have is that the Shuttle bus did not know where it was and as our flight was delayed the reception had shut and it took a while to discover that Waikiki Marina Resort was actually inside/ part of the building complex at the Illikai .
Very friendly, very helpful staff. Great room, clean, with nice features. Exceeded expectations for location, space, features and functions. Overall a great stay.
Concierge is the most impressive thing at this hotel. She was sincerely helpful and friendly.
Confused name as it is known by Ilikia. The reception is on the 2nd floor. The valet person I first met never responded to any inquiry and it hard to get over this kind of service down front of the hotel.
Clean venue with a location close to Ala Moana Mall and about a 20 minute walk into Wakiki shopping. Good restaurants close by and hire car across the road. On routes for buses and trolleys. Remember to tell your taxi or shuttle driver to take you to the Illikai Hotel as that is where the resort is located. Enter the hotel and go to the second floor for the Resort Office.
Swimming pool area very average.
Big rooms. Comfortable. Close to beach and the mall. Kitchen is very handy to have.
Loud outdoor evening shows from the hotel next door. Rooms were a little beat up due to age. Curtains stained, carpets stained, etc... but not terribly so.
